About Back 9 Spine
Golf-body education with a clear plan.
Back 9 Spine is an online-first golf-body education brand led by Dr. Rob, a chiropractor. We teach golfers how to warm up, rotate and recover. In-clinic dry needling and chiropractic care are planned as a secondary layer.

Meet Dr. Rob
Dr. Rob is a chiropractor and the founder of Back 9 Spine. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida in 2020 and holds Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Medical Level 2 certification, along with certifications in dry needling and Functional Range Conditioning (FRC). In 2026 he was head chiropractor on staff at the Senior PGA Championship at The Concession.
He spent six years at Triangle Chiropractic in Cary and Durham, North Carolina, working with a wide range of people. That included everyday patients and weekend warriors like CrossFitters and mountain bikers. It also included competitive athletes: world-champion Brazilian jiu-jitsu players, professional MMA fighters, college basketball players, retired NFL players, Olympic hopefuls in several sports, Ironman champions who raced at Kona, and professional golfers on the Korn Ferry Tour and the LPGA.
A normal golfer, too
Dr. Rob grew up around golf but always put work first. Today he's an 18-handicap who plays about once a week and spends more time in the clinic than on the range. He knows golf pain firsthand: an old low-back and right-hip injury from football, years of elbow wear from jiu-jitsu, back tweaks from CrossFit and lifting, and a stubborn case of golfer's elbow he has worked through with rehab.
Why Back 9 Spine
Back 9 Spine helps golfers aged about 30 to 65+ in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Bradenton and beyond move better and keep playing the game they love. It's education first, with an in-person clinic coming soon. A good place to start is the free Golf Body Scorecard.
This page is for education only and isn't medical advice.
What we care about
Performance. Recovery. Longevity.
Performance
Protect your turn. Learn the windows that matter for the swing (hips, mid-back and shoulders) with golf-specific intent.
Recovery
After-18 habits so the next morning does not own your calendar, and prep that loads rotation instead of cold stretching only.
Longevity
Still playing in years, not one heroic season. Education that matches how you actually live the game.
How we work
Online first. Clinic next.
The online path
- Free Golf Body Scorecard: self-report clarity, not a diagnosis
- Back 9 Reset: a short plan for warm-up, after-18 and rotation (coming soon)
- Education hub: plain answers to common golf-body questions
The in-clinic layer
- Dry needling for golfers, when clinically appropriate
- Golf-specific chiropractic care
- Soft-tissue work, mobility and exercise tied to how you load the swing
Planned for the Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota and Bradenton area. Booking is not open yet.
What we refuse to be
Not theater. Not a quick fix.
- Not rack-’em-crack-’em chiropractic
- Not massage as the whole plan
- Not an online physical-therapy substitute or an imaging read
- Not a swing coach or equipment pitch
- Not an in-and-out visit with no goals
- Not cure claims or fear tactics
