What it is
What is dry needling?
Dry needling uses a thin filiform needle placed into tight muscle or trigger points. At Back 9 Spine it is one tool inside a golf-specific plan, not a stand-alone fix.
Who it may help
Who might be a fit?
It may help golfers who:
- Have stubborn back, hip, shoulder or mid-back tightness
- Feel their turn is limited by that tightness
- Have tried warm-ups and mobility work and want more support
Whether it is right for you is decided after an assessment.
What a visit looks like
Three steps. One plan.

FAQ
Dry needling questions
What should I expect, and does dry needling hurt?
Sensations vary. Many people feel a brief pinch, a dull ache or a muscle twitch, and some feel sore afterward. Your provider explains what to expect before treatment, and you can ask to pause or stop at any time.
Is dry needling for everyone?
No. Dry needling is only used when clinically appropriate, and whether you are a candidate is decided after your assessment. Some health conditions, medications or circumstances may make it a poor fit, so your history is reviewed first.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your findings and goals. There is no set number. Your progress is reassessed after a few visits so the plan can be adjusted, continued or ended based on how you are responding.
